1. Introduction

Welcome to Cachan Photography Studio. By booking our services, you agree to the following terms and conditions. For any inquiries, please contact us at info@cachanphoto.com.

2. Definitions

  • “Photographer”: Cachan Photography Studio.
  • “Client”: Any person or entity engaging our services.
  • “Images”: All visual representations captured, delivered, or stored by the Photographer.

3. Acceptance of Terms

All contracts between the Photographer and the Client are subject to these terms and conditions.

4. Booking and Payment

  • A 33% to 50% deposit may be required to confirm your booking.

    This deposit is non-refundable.
  • The remaining balance is due upon completion of the assignment.
  • Late payments may incur a 3% interest fee.

5. Cancellations and Rescheduling

  • Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours in advance. Late cancellations may incur a fee of up to 100% of the booking cost.
  • Rescheduling is subject to availability and may incur additional fees.

6. Copyright and Usage

  • The Photographer retains all copyrights to the Images.
  • The Client is granted a license to use the Images for personal use only, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
  • Commercial use of the Images requires additional licensing and fees.

7. Delivery and Reproduction

  • Images will be delivered in a standard digital format unless otherwise specified.
  • Only two revisions are allowed.
  • The Photographer is not liable for poor reproduction quality if the Client fails to provide specific requirements in advance.

8. Conduct

The Client is responsible for the behavior of all persons accompanying them. The Photographer reserves the right to terminate a session without refund if any behavior is deemed unsafe or inappropriate.

9. Limitation of Liability

The Photographer is not liable for delays or failures caused by circumstances beyond their control, including but not limited to weather, equipment failure, or acts of God.

10. Indemnification

The Client agrees to indemnify and hold the Photographer harmless against any claims, damages, or expenses arising from the Client’s use of the Images.

11. Disputes

Any disputes will be resolved in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Photographer operates.

12. Photo Proof Delivery

Photo proofs will be delivered within 72 hours after your session.

13. Standard Order and Enlargement Processing Time

The standard processing time for orders and enlargements is 15 days.

14. Album Review and Approval Process

Once you have submitted your selections for the album, please call us two days after submission to schedule a review of the completed work.

After you approve the album design, we send orders to the lab twice a month. The standard reproduction time for albums is 10 to 15 days.

15. Online Gallery Availability

Online galleries will be available for 60 days following your session.

If you wish to extend the availability of your gallery beyond this period, a fee of $30 will be charged to republish the gallery for an additional 60 days.

16. Right to Refuse Future Services:

Cachan Photography reserves the absolute and sole right to refuse to provide services to any client who, in the past, has attempted to manipulate, modify, or improperly alter the terms and conditions of our agreements. This policy is in full compliance with our legal and contractual obligations and is implemented to protect the legitimate interests of our photography studio. Cachan Photography is not obligated to justify or explain the reasons for such a refusal of service. Furthermore, any attempt to manipulate our terms will be considered a serious breach of our contract, authorizing us to take all necessary legal measures to protect our rights and those of our clients.

By engaging our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these terms and conditions.

Photo Storage Policy

We store your photos in RAW format, which serves as the digital negative, for 12 months after your photography session. After this period, we offer a digital cloud storage service that allows you to retrieve your photos for up to a maximum of 2 years. The cost for the first year is $225, and the cost for the second year is $400. After 2 years, the gallery is automatically deleted from the service.
For example, if your photos were taken in January 2022, and you wish to retrieve them in February 2023, there will be an automatic fee of $225. If you want to retrieve them in February 2024, the fee will be $400.

Physical Products Policy

This policy is for abandoned orders:

The cost of physical products, such as photo albums, increases by 25% annually due to order abandonment.
For example, if the album you chose initially costs $800, the next year, if you want the same album, you will need to pay an additional 25% of the $800, which amounts to $200.
We are not obligated to fulfill orders for physical products past 365 days.

STORAGE POLICY CHANGE IN 2025

Starting in 2025, the storage time for orders after your photography session will be reduced to 180 days due to the increasing costs of online storage services. We encourage you to contact our studio via email or phone within this period to avoid extra charges or the loss of your photographic session.
